At Weaver Valley, we don’t believe in throwing money at a problem and hoping it goes away.
As Rotary members we strive to create lasting change within the community so we carefully select the causes we support and really get to know them to ensure we can create as much positive change as possible.
Who we help
we are currently supporting …
Cuddington & Sandiway Youth Club
Based in its own dedicated building, it provides a welcoming space for young people to come together every Friday evening. Run by local volunteers and supported by a trained youth worker, the club is made possible through the generosity of community donations, which help keep this valuable facility thriving.
The Northwich Beer Festival
The Northwich Beer Festival is a popular local event that has been running for a number of years. All the local Rotary clubs come together to support the evening, making it a great night full of fun, music, and refreshments. The festival not only brings the community together but also raises valuable funds for local projects and charities, helping to make a real difference in our area.
The Santa Sleigh
The Santa Sleigh is a much-loved annual tradition, bringing festive cheer to local streets while supporting the community. Rotary members volunteer their time to take Santa around the area, collecting donations and spreading holiday spirit.
Soup On The Go
Soup On The Go is a fun, friendly Dragon’s Den-style event. Local community groups, charities, and good causes deliver a 5–10 minute pitch for the chance to receive a small impactful funding boost. All pitchers benefit whether they win or not, from the exposure, networking, and collaboration opportunities, while attendees enjoy an entertaining evening of inspiring talks, community spirit — and of course, delicious soup and cake!
My CWA
Weaver Valley Rotary Club proudly supports MyCWA, helping raise awareness and provide vital support for individuals and families affected by domestic abuse across Cheshire through fundraising, volunteering and community partnership.
I’ve only been a member for a few months but I’ve loved being part of so many initiatives to help the local community. I’m still getting to grips with just how much Rotary is involved with in Cheshire & all over the world, but it’s really impressive.
And this group has been really friendly and welcoming. Not at all crusty & boring like I thought it might be!

Although I’ve lived in Northwich for 15 years and am very happy to call it my home, I’d never felt part of the community. My family don’t live here, and I had no friends locally, so I always felt like I was floating on the surface of life here. Joining Weaver Valley Rotary has changed that. I now feel like I have a stake in the town. I love participating in local events, like the Santa Sleigh and Soup On The Go, and seeing how much difference relatively modest amounts of money can make to grassroots community organizations. I recently read, “Belonging multiplies energy; it creates psychological safety and makes collaboration and innovation possible.”
